Who is Tom Tom?
Meet Tom Tom, a curious, imaginative boy navigating the world with ADHD, autism, and social anxiety. He represents every child who thinks, feels, and learns differently — proving every day that being different never means being less capable.

A heart full of wonder and big feelings
Tom Tom is sensitive, kind, and endlessly curious. Like many neurodivergent young people, he can sometimes feel completely overwhelmed by intense emotions, sudden changes, or busy environments. Through practical tools like his Brains, Waves, Circles, and Bridges, he learns to navigate his thoughts and celebrate what makes him unique.

Rooted in real life and therapeutic guidance
Created by counsellor and psychotherapist Tomass James Wood, Tom Tom’s adventures are drawn from Tomass’s own lived experience of growing up neurodivergent. Informed by professional mental health insights, Tom Tom is the companion Tomass wished he had as a child — reminding young readers that their unique minds are something to cherish.

Helping children feel understood and confident
Children and young people instantly connect with Tom Tom because he makes mistakes, feels worry, and takes time to process the world around him. Instead of trying to "fix" neurodiversity, his adventures offer a relatable friend and a practical language for handling emotions, building friendships, and finding genuine self-belief.
"Your brain works differently, and that is okay. Let us discover together what works for you."
